Tall Ships Festival 2009

The Nova Scotia Tall Ships Festival was a huge success as tens of thousands of people gathered on the Halifax waterfront to get a close look at 40 vessels from 13 countries.

This was the forth time for Nova Scotia to host the international gathering of world-class Tall Ships in over two decades.

The Halifax Seaport was a full-service zone during Tall Ships and hosted four (4) Class “A” Tall Ships along the Seawall (Pier 20, 21 and 22) and Pier 23 (Sagres, Capitan Miranda, Cisne Branco and the Kruzenshtern). As well, the Halifax Seaport had many activities such as Mister 'J' the Magician, Razzmatazz, and face painting by Creative Faces & KC's Face Painting.
